The Path of Enlightenment A through-composed Novel by Christopher Moors 11. Zoshu opened his astral eyes to behold a terrible beast with a sleazy white smile. On the surface he was dapper and perfectly kempt, but looming behind this presentation was a grotesque conglomeration of multiple different sized bloodshot eyes, a bulging twisted warty nose with flaring nostrils, a mouth full of crooked and broken teeth, and a forked tongue that hissed every lie with disgusting self-assurance.There were thousands of souls with blank stares behind this creature of absence and Z was shocked to see Marah amongst his minions. Zoshu called out to her, “This is not right. This is not you.” She smiled with emptiness and claimed with certainty that it was Z who did not understand. The creature bellowed with laughter and then beckoned to Z to also get behind him. Zoshu rebuked the beast and all his works and all his ways, but could do nothing for the people who were caught in his horrible net of deception. This monster had a way of preying upon individual’s weaknesses and convincing them it was in their own interest to narrow their perspective. Every alternative to his evil approach was immediately rejected and any behavior of his zombified followers was justified by perpetuating the illusion. Z turned his attention inward. Starting with his root, he activated each chakra in turn and pulled the Kundalini up and through his energy system. It spilled out through the crown until his whole aura was buzzing with life. Operating on the molecular level with awareness in each atom he reconstructed his body into a giant shaggy-maned lion. Shape-shifting into this form with a heart burning pure indignation, Z let out an ear shattering roar. The hollow hoard vanished with Marah amongst their number. Just as he thought that this nightmarish encounter was over he heard the beast hiss inside his mind. “My work is not finished and there isss nothing you can do. I have got Marah and one day I will have you.” “I’ve got to end this and end it now,” vowed Zoshu to himself. Softly another presence appeared at his side. “No worries Z,” said the sweet voice next to him. It was his sister Kam. “They knoweth not what they do. It is a stage in human evolution. Some people make it and some people don’t.” More focused on his visitor than the situation that just transpired, Zoshu rushed to give Kam a hug. “You know that we disappear when you do that,” she said with a twinkle in her eye, but not before she was able to give him a hug in return and whisper, “See you soon.”
