The Path of Enlightenment A through-composed Novel by Christopher Moors 13. Surprisingly to Zoshu after his transcendent experience with Gautama Buddha, he did not have any visions/dreams for awhile. Days turned to weeks in the physical world and life was very ordinary. The only thing that was altered was that Z had a beneficent glow about him. The everyday world even seemed to take notice. Smiles came to Z from all around him. Doors were easily opened and friendships were effortlessly made. Z realized that this world and the dream world were not so different. With awareness and a non-reactive approach you can glide through any situation untouched. As these heavenly insights were crossing the inner vision of Zoshu’s mind matrix, he looked up just in time to see a star fall from the sky. The space in the middle of his forehead became alive with energy and his eyes rolled up towards its focal point. Zoshu had the feeling he could transport himself anywhere in the Universe his Will intended. Space and Time were at his command and he could see/feel the cosmic grid pulse with life-trons. Music filled existence and Z was a part of the eternal celebration. He decided to go back to his familiar wooded clearing on the astral plane and take a different path. When he arrived it was twilight with some very bright stars in the sky. The evening creatures were out and like a Halloween night, the vibe was loose. There was a path in front of him that looked easy and another that turned a corner and went out of sight. Z. took a few steps on the easy path then jumped over to the curving one. Chuckling to himself, he took off in another direction where there was no path at all. Remembering the advice of Elvington to get some crystals for protection, Z focused his mind on the High Priestess. Soon animals were scurrying to provide guidance to Z through the increasingly dense foliage. It was getting very dark outside, and after a bit Zoshu sat for a rest. Pulling out his wooden flute he played a few pastoral melodies to entertain his woodland friends. Bunnies, squirrels, raccoons, and porcupines gathered around to dance along with the tunes. Zoshu stopped playing when he felt a hand land upon his shoulder. “You called?” said a woman’s voice from right behind him. The animals scattered to give them privacy and Zoshu turned around with a half smile that hid a growing anticipation. “It’s been awhile hasn’t it Priestess?” he said. They shared a silent moment of remembrance over some intimate times they had together. Zoshu started to grow aroused and took a couple of slow deep breaths. “This is not why I’m here,” he thought to himself. “I am on an epic journey,” said Zoshu. “It’s fraught with many perils and I need all the help I can get.” The Priestess responded, “I have heard and what I can do I will.” She moved closer to Zoshu and whispered in his ear, “What are you going to do for me?” Z turned to face her and could not hold himself back any longer. He put his arms around her and kissed her passionately. Their intensity went wild and they made love on the forest floor. The air echoed with the sounds of their immense pleasure. When finished they lay back and softly reflected on times gone by. “Remember the first time we made love,” sighed the Priestess. “How could I forget?” Zoshu replied putting his arm around her. “I wanted you with every atom of my being.” “I wanted you to,” said the Priestess. “What happened to us?” This sent Zoshu’s mind on a tangent of arguments and misunderstandings. It saddened him, but he knew that there were highs and lows in life and it was up to him to remain centered through it all. After what seemed like a very long pause Zoshu finally said, “We just had other things to do.” The Priestess seemed to take that answer well and decided not to open the Pandora’s box that was their past friction. She kissed him quickly and hopped up to her feet. “Now we have to get you some crystals for your next encounter with McGumb.” For some reason Zoshu felt like that was no longer the correct manner in which to proceed. “No thanks,” he said. “I’ll just be on my way.” “At least take this one,” she said with a slight scowl as she handed him a brilliant blue crystal that fit perfectly in his hand. “You’ll need it.”
